Greg Gallagher is the founder and CEO of
Solutions 2 Wellbeing. Greg’s passion for
over thirty years has been to help people
profoundly improve their lives with minimal
emotional pain, using the most effective
and expedient treatment approaches
available. Greg truly cares about people
and their families. That sincere caring is
what prompted Greg to create a
Comprehensive ADHD Program in Jackson
Michigan, so that families could have all of
their needs met by one provider.
People have always come first with Greg whether you are a client or part of
his staff and with that intention his organizations Solutions 2 Wellbeing
and Recovery Technology have become the largest providers of
behavioural health services and programs in the greater Jackson area.
Greg’s professional motivation comes from his sincere drive to raise the
bar in providing behavioral health services for the community in which he
lives.
Greg is a Limited Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Social Worker, and
also is trained to provide therapy for the State of Michigan’s Gambling
Addiction Program. In addition, Greg is an International Certified Criminal
Justice Professional, trained to assist in hostage situations. His
organizations are accredited by CARF and provide outpatient and case
management services to clients ranging from age three to the geriatric
population.
Greg’s most recent advancements have been in the area of helping
families. Greg really saw the need to help families with children thought to
have ADHD or any other behavioral disorder that causes intensity and
challenge in the home and at school.
Looking for the most effective approaches much research was done before
putting together a comprehensive program for families that would include
parent training. One of the biggest treasures discovered in the research
process was Howard Glasser and his Nurtured Heart Approach. Early on
Greg had realized that the piece missing in our program was the need for
intense children to be validated for their good qualities. He in fact
explained that while making a presentation to a group of foster parents
one Saturday morning. Greg knew how effective validation was in working
with other behavioral issues and knew that it would be an effective
motivation for intense children to change their negative behaviors. So
when the Nurtured Heart Approach was discovered a few weeks later it was
richly embraced. In fact it was thought to be a godsend!
With that, Solutions 2 Wellbeing developed parenting classes that were
based on advice from national experts in the field and most importantly
the NHA and Glasser’s theories. After conducting the first few classes Greg
was amazed at how successful parents became after learning and
implementing the new parenting techniques. Greg then had his staff attend
a Glasser trainings and had Glasser himself come to Jackson to consult
with Solutions 2 Wellbeing regarding our comprehensive ADHD program
and parenting classes. Glasser was so impressed during that meeting that
he asked Solutions 2 Wellbeing to be trainers for him in the Midwest. Greg
and other staff then traveled to Arizona to be personally trained by Glasser
and his leadership group to become certified Advance Trainers so that he
could offer the best possible parenting program to the greater Jackson
area. Greg extensively trains the staff who work with children and families
in the Nurtured Heart Approach so that a synergistic treatment plan occurs
with results that exponentially create more effectiveness and success for
those involved.
Greg’s true character shows him to be a humble, kind and generous man
who is very passionate about helping others. It is simply his nature to be
on a continuous journey that searches for new ways in which he can help
mankind. Though he would not readily admit it, Greg is a true pioneer and
a visionary. Most notably, Greg’s visions are not designed for himself, they
are designed with you in mind, and that is why Solutions 2 Wellbeing was
founded.
